VACANCY, AGE & QUALIFICATION FOR IOB APPRENTICE JOB:

AgeMinimum 20 years and Maximum 28 years as on cut-off date viz. 01.08.2024 for General Category and EWS Candidates, the Date of Birth should fall between 01.08.1996 and 01.08.2004 wherein both the dates are inclusive. However, relaxation in maximum age for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD will be as per extant Government of India guidelines.
Educational QualificationCandidates must have a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualifications recognized by the Central Government. The qualification result must have been declared between 01.04.2020 and 01.08.2024, inclusive of both dates. Candidates must provide Mark Sheets and a Provisional/Degree Certificate issued by the University/College when required by the Bank.

STIPEND FOR APPRENTICE JOB

Candidates who are selected as apprentices will be paid stipend for the contract period of one year as detailed below.

The Bank will pay the above stipend to the apprentices’ bank accounts each month, after adjusting for any unauthorized leaves. The government’s share of the stipend, amounting to Rs. 4,500/-, will be directly credited to the apprentices’ bank accounts through the DBT mode, according to current guidelines. Apprentices will not be eligible for any other allowances or benefits.

SELECTION PROCESS

The Bank will make the selection based on an Online Examination, a test of the local language (wherever applicable), and personal interaction if required. Simply meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee that a candidate will be called for the Online Examination or personal interaction.

(i)  Online written test (objective type)

Total duration of examination will be 90 minutes.

The website will display the results of candidates who have qualified for various stages of the engagement process, as well as the list of candidates who have been finally selected. The website will publish the final selected list.

The organization will maintain a waitlist (State-category wise) for one year from the date of the results of the apprenticeship engagement or the next engagement exercise, whichever comes first. We will release candidates from this waitlist against non-joining positions, depending on the availability of qualified candidates.

Note: Other detailed information regarding the examination process will be given in the “Information Handout”, and the same will be made available to all eligible candidates through email to be sent by BFSI SSC.

(ii)  Test of Local Language

Candidates applying for training seats in a specific state should be proficient in any one of the local languages of that state, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding. The examination authority will conduct the local language test after the online written examination. This language proficiency test will become part of the selection process and will occur during the document verification stage. We will not consider candidates who do not pass this test for apprenticeship. However, candidates who submit a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet or certificate showing that they have studied the specified local language will not need to undergo the language test.
